Welcome to the new Just Pros website! It is an interesting time to be launching and promoting the power of public speaking. There have been those that stand firmly in the opinion that presenting online is anything but public. I will agree, it is different, but never more needed and no less powerful. Regardless of how you have experienced this pandemic, I suspect you have had some time for self reflection and some time to appreciate the connections in life that you had come to take for granted. When you have lost those personal ties of your family, your friends, your co-workers, your clients and in this case, your Toastmasters family, you come to rely heavily on a connection of any kind. Virtual may not be a worthy substitute, but it is something and it has value. Through this time I have learned a lot about how to effectively connect online and I will share some of that in future posts. For now, I say welcome and if you are looking to challenge yourself and to embrace the power of the spoken word, in person or online, we are here for you. Stay safe. Stay kind. Stay connected.
